Located between 10 05'N and 95 18'E in Bo Galay township of Ayeyawaddy Division.

Type of forest
Type of forest Mangrove species such as Kanazo, Madamo,Thame ,Thayaw ,Kambala ,Thin Baung ,etc. are present.

Wildlife
Otter, sambur, hog deer, wild boar, wild dog, turtles and tortoises, estuarine crocodiles, fish, prawn, crab and 34 bird species are known to occur in the area and Ayeyawaddy Dolphin is said to occur occasionally in the area.

Characteristics
(a)Can observe hog deer sambur, wild boar.
(b)wild dogs turtles and tortoises, estuarine crocodiles, and others mammals.
(d)Conserve and manage they are as breeding grounds, particularly, for fish and prawn.
(e)Study on mangrove ecosystem, bird watching, study on behavior of wildlife including reptiles, mammals and aquatic animals, conducting of socio-economic survey on local people at seaside. 29 different tree species, as seed production areas for plantation.

Objectives
(a) To protect and conserve degraded mangrove ecosystem from overexploitation by human.
(b) To preserve remnant mangrove forests, consisting of 29 different tree species, as seed production areas for plantations.
(c) To conserve and manage the area as breeding grounds, particularly, for fish and prawn.
(d) To implement conservation programmes for endangered estuarine crocodiles  increase their population and to conduct research activities on the species.
(e) To establish a bird sanctuary for protection of resident and migratory water birds and shore birds and their habitats.
(f) To upgrade and promote as an ecotourism with attraction on mangrove conservation activities, research activities on estuarine crocodiles and bird watching.
(g) To establish area creatively as an environmental education centre for local people.

Conservation Development and research program
(a) Conservation of mangrove ecosystem.
(b)Implementation of conservation activities including reintroduction of estuarine crocodile and related research activities.
(c) Conservation of mangrove forests with natural regeneration practices.
(d) Re-introduction of estuarine crocodiles, after nursing the young brood in the research center, to increase their population.
(e) Implementation of environmental education activities.
(f)Construction of wooden tracks in forests.

Accommodation facilities
Accommodation for 6 persons at Bogalay, 5 persons at Meinmahla kyun and 5 persons at a guard post in the sanctuary.

Note : visit all the year round but the best time to do bird watching is during October to May and for the studying the eggs laying of sea turtles is during December to January.
