Approach
Yangon –Mandalay by car /by rail/by flight(430 miles / 688 km) Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin (42 miles / 67 km)by car.

Objective and Characteristic
(a) To serve as a recreation center for the public.
(b) To carry out educational activities related to conservation of trees and forests so that people will become interested and appreciate the values of trees and flowers.
(c) To assist botanists and researchers with their studies.
(d) To collect and reproduce rare and endangered plant species for their perpetual existence, conduct research activities and assist the development of eco tourism industry.
(e) Inland indigenous birds, reptiles, small mammal species and insects are present.
(f) Resort of beautiful Tudor architecture, nostalgic stages coaches, happy market place and the fresh and lush bloom of colorful flowers, is worth a visit.
(g) Visit the spacious and verdant 142 hectares Botanical Garden with its cherry blossom in December and January and do not miss the nearby Pwekauk waterfalls, the recently opened limestone grotto and underground stream known as Peik-Chin Myaung. This place is worth visiting to observation on hardwood species, bamboos, orchids and medicinal plants from various parts of Myanmar and attractive exotic collection.

Wildlife
Inland indigenous birds (resident forest birds), reptiles, small mammal species and insects are present.
