          Northern sites of Myanmar is the land of Kachin races and famous land for it's colorful tribes and their culture. Most people living in the Kachin state are of Tibeto- Burman origin, representing four main language groups: the Jinghpaw, Maru, Yawyin and Lisu. Hiking to the ever green forest in Kachin state is the quite pleasant with natural fresh air and sound of gibbon and sweet trills of the birds .Visitors who love to study the nature activities, should go to the region of Putao and there are Many kinds of trees, medicinal plants and orchids especially black orchids and bamboo orchids .Many kinds of birds insects butterflies leaf monkeys many kinds of wilds cats can be observed. It is situated in northern sides of Myanmar and 3000 above sea level.

The annual rain fall is always 80" , but some parts get 160 ".Average temperature is about 80 F.

Mountain ranges are joining from north to south so that ,the mighty Irrawaddy river sources from the snow capped mountains and flow from north to south and continue to southern sides of Myanmar.

Jingphaw are the major group of Kachin, and others are Hkahku (means up river people), Rawawng (live in valley and mountain region), Azi (entered to Myanmar from Tibetan –Chinese border), Maru (2nd major sub group), Lashi (who believe in animism), Taron (live at the foot hill of the Mt Khakaborazi).
