Welcome to Mergui!
In Mergui Archipelago Sport Fishing trips in
untouched waters is every angler's dream.
Thailand, India, Myanmar (formerly called
Burma) has recently opened their outer
island possessions to sport fishing. These
islands stretching from off the coast of
Phuket to Myanmar at the beginning of the
Arakan Yoma Mountain range. The submerged
mountain range breaks the surface at Pulau
Weh, Nicobar Islands and Andaman Islands and
is surrounded by deep waters with multiple
seamounts and countless reefs.
|
|
| |
 |
|
| |
Intense global commercial fishing pressure
on our oceans means the days of this type of
sport fishing is becoming rare and for the
most part only available in very remote
waters.
Victoria Point in Mergui Archipelago and
Ranong (Thai), located in the centre of
Andaman Sea are the ideal starting points
for fishing trips to these virgin waters.
Within a 400-mile radius we have access to
the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and the Mergui
Archipelago and famous Burma Banks.
Exploratory trips are just that, we are
going into waters with no history of sport
fishing. The challenge is to develop a
successful plan that results in spectacular
fishing. At Andaman Hooker we work with the
anglers to develop a plan that best meets
our clients expectations.
