The location of the Glorious Land,
It is the city of central Myanmar, at the eastern bank of the Irrawaddy river and "688" km (430 miles) far away forms Yangon.

Scenrery of the Bagan
It is famous as dry zone. The main river of the city is Irrawaddy; the two mountains by the name of Mt Tant Kyi and Mt Tu Yin are stretching at the east and southern side of Bagan. The city is situated where the place of 3000' feet above sea level. The land is sandy land. So that paddy cannot grow here.

Weather Condition
The weather is hot in dry season but not so much. In winter, very cool and pleasant and one can touch and feel the freshness of the city. The annual rainfall is always less than 30".

The population of the city is about over 60000 (60 thousands).

Indiginous Plants
Most of them are dry zone plants and used by local people in their ways of natural methods.
Tamarind
(Ripen tamarinds is used for cooking to get gravy/ the fresh are cooked as very delicious Myanmar curry.)

Accacia
The resin of Accacia has to use instead of glue, when they make and create Lacquer wares/ the leaves and the flowers give very delicious taste as Salads.)

Rain Tree
The dried rain tree seeds are very useful to feed Ox and Cows; the leaves can cure wounds and also can be made salad.

Palm Tree (Toddy)
The whole body of the tree are very useful the stem can be used to make furniture, toys and other material such as drinking cups/ ladles etc:) The dried leaves are used when roofing.) The fruit produce Traditional wine (toddy wine), also called Myanmar Sky Beer, and after cooking the fruits juice it become jeggery.)

Neem Tree
(It is famous as the great dentist, Myanmar people have been used the bark of Neem tree when feeling tooth ache. The leaves are not only to cure the itching but also can be pickled.)

Majietic (Cassia Siamea)
(The tree is traditionally believed to pay respect to Tha Gyar Minn (King of Celetial region above and strongly believed that if it is eaten on full moon night of Tazaung Mone (November) it has medically power and cure all kinds of disease.)

Aloe Vera (Aloe Accacia)
It is very good tree to take treatment for hair. The leaves of Aloe Vera can cure dandruff and make strength.

Many Kinds of Ficus.
Some kind of ficus's leaves can be made pickled.

Main Economic Of Local people
The main economic of the local people is tourism industry and some make their living by making lacquer ware, Bagan is the main place where the lacquer ware products are produced. Some of them are making their living by cultivation the most prominent crops are cottons, saseme, beans, Toddy (Palm Tree) and other tropical crops. Palm yard are one of the significant of Bagan and they produce many kinds of useful things and they are one of the main attraction of Bagan area. Others are Soya bean paste production, cotton-weaving production, private economics which are really concern with tourism.

What dose Bagan Means?
The name of Bagan is orginally deriven from Pyu Gama, which means "The Village of Pyu" Pyu, are the main indigenous race in ancient time of Myanmar. Then it was gradually changed into Pyu Ga and change into Pu Gan and finally into Bagan.

The Zenith Century of Bagan Period
     Bagan's was flourished in the early 11th century to later 13th century. The contemporary country of the Bagan was an Ean Kaw Wut temple in Cambodia, which was flourished in 12th century.

How Many Pagodas Can we See in Bagan Now?
     There are over 2200 pagodas are maintained in Bagan area and some of them are pagodas that should not be missed to go study and visit. Some Pagodas still have the mural paintings, which were paint in 11th, 12th centuries even have 15th 16th centauries.
