Wan Pasak, a small town in Laos, is one of the border areas of Golden Triangle region. Visitors can easily pass this border area by crossing Mekong River to reach Tachileik in Myanmar. You might be permitted to cross into Laos .If you already possess a valid Lao visa.

Tachileik
Tachileik is the eastern site gateway of Myanmar and it is famous as the Golden Triangle region. It is also the important border city.

About 45 minutes taking flight from Tachileik to Kyaingtong will send you the best of Myanmar trekking site. You can also explore the rare colorful tribes along your trekking route. The way to Tachileik to Kyaingtong is available for coach route end. (85) kilometers north of Kentung lies the border district of Mengla. There is a Drug eradication Museum in Mengla, an opium-free zone, which was opened in 1997. Many pagodas are built in Mengla by our government.
