The newest cool spot situated on the western seaboard of the country, facing the Bay of Bengal . Sea, Sand, Sun and Scene at Ngwe saung are the breath taking beauties. It is about 48km from pathein.
The long Newe saung beach lies between the Bay of bengal with its unforgettable views at sunset, and the Rakhine Mountain Range with the evergreen tropical rain forests on its slopes . While you stroll along the beach, waves lap on the shore on the seaside, and the row of screw – pines sway under the arched coconut trees on the shore side.

How to Get There
Ngwe Saung can be reached by car from the capital Yangon in approximately seven hours drive.
The journey takes travelers on a partly bumpy and pot-holed road across the alluvial Ayeyarwaddy Delta region. As an alternative to road travel, it is now possible to travel from Yangon to the Pathein River by boat, a journey of approximately 16 hours through picturesque scenery, passing homesteads and typical villages dotted along the riverbanks. The one latest news is now Air Bagan (private airline) flies from Yangon - Pathein every Mon, Wed & Sat and it takes about 35minutes. After arriving Pathein Airport, you will meet with our car then drive another 1 ½ hours to Ngwe Saung beach.

 Pathein
Capital of the delta region, and gate way to chaungtha and Ngwe Sung. It is well known as the "Granary of Myanmar". The main products are paddy, sesames, groundnuts, and jute, maze, pulses, tobacco, etc. The city is also famous for it's unique attraction of hand make umbrellas.

24 km from Yang on on the tunte canal. A craft drive across the Yang on river and one hour car drive can reach. Pottery is the major cottage industry. Shwesandaw pagoda, Oh-bo pottery shed, Baung daw gyoke pagoda, Snake temple, Kandaw Mingalar lake and weavers are among the interesting sites.
